Message from the Head of Primary School (Cambridge)
Welcome to the Cambridge Community at Kabojja International School
At Kabojja International School, we are dedicated to bringing out the very best in every learner, regardless of background, race, religion, or individual needs. We recognize that each child is unique, and with the high-quality education and support we provide, they can achieve personal excellence and grow into confident, responsible, and globally-minded individuals.
We proudly follow the Cambridge International Curriculum, delivered by a team of highly trained and committed educators. Our teachers continually engage in professional development locally and internationally, ensuring that they stay at the forefront of best practices in teaching and learning.
Our Primary School serves children aged 2 to 11 years, guiding them through a nurturing and stimulating learning journey. Upon completing the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint Examinations, our learners transition seamlessly to High School, well-prepared for the next stage of their academic growth.
Beyond academics, we celebrate and respect the diverse religious backgrounds of our learners. Weekly religious sessions are integrated into our program to cultivate values, respect, and moral development.
We also believe in a strong partnership with parents. With our open-door policy, parents are always welcome to engage with the Head Teacher and school administration to share their thoughts, feedback, or concerns.
Primary School
Our Cambridge Primary Section provides a warm, stimulating, and academically rich environment where children begin their formal learning journey with confidence. Rooted in the internationally recognised Cambridge Primary Curriculum, we focus on nurturing curious, capable, and compassionate learners who are prepared to thrive in an ever-changing world.
Key Stage 1 (KS1): Years 1–3
In Key Stage 1, we lay the foundation for lifelong learning by helping children develop core skills in reading, writing, numeracy, and communication. Lessons are engaging, practical, and designed to build confidence as learners transition from early years to primary schooling.
Key Stage 2 (KS2): Years 4–6
In Key Stage 2, students deepen their academic understanding while building independence, collaboration skills, and leadership qualities. Learning becomes more inquiry-based, with increasing opportunities for problem-solving, research, and applying knowledge across subjects.
How We Assess Your Child’s Progress
Our assessment approach is designed to support learning and give parents clear, meaningful information about their child’s growth.
We use:
Ongoing classroom assessments (activities, quizzes, discussions) to monitor progress.
Termly assessments to check understanding of key concepts.
Project-based assessments, especially in Global Perspectives, to develop research and communication skills.
Cambridge Primary checkpoint exam to benchmark performance internationally.
Regular feedback, helping children understand their strengths and set personal goals.
