Supporting Every Learner’s Journey
How we do it?
The Counselling and Guidance arm of the Learning Support Department is committed to nurturing students’ social, emotional, and mental well-being. The department provides a safe, confidential space where learners can express themselves, seek support, and build resilience to navigate academic and personal challenges.
Counsellors conduct a range of assessments including socio-emotional, behavioral, and risk assessments supplemented by parent and teacher reports. These tools help identify underlying concerns early and ensure that each student receives appropriate support.
Who We Serve
We support a wide range of learners from those needing occasional assistance (e.g., handwriting support) to students with significant physical, neurological, or developmental challenges. Support is available across all age groups, from Early Years to High School.
Our Approach
Child-centered and compassionate: Recognising each child’s unique strengths and pace of development.
Collaborative and inclusive: Working closely with teachers and families to create integrated support.
Flexible and responsive: Continuously adapting interventions based on observation, assessment, and feedback.
What We Offer
Individual therapy sessions addressing fine and gross motor skills, hand-eye coordination, self-care skills (e.g., dressing, feeding, writing), sensory regulation, attention, and organization.
Collaboration with parents to ensure continuity between school and home, including shared strategies, training, and home-practice plans.
Life-skills and empowerment training to build independence, confidence, and a sense of belonging preparing students for success in school and beyond.
