Service Above Self: Making a Difference, One Act of Service at a Time

Meaningful education extends beyond the classroom and we implement this by nurturing compassionate, responsible and socially conscious young people who are committed to making a positive difference in their communities.

Meaningful education extends beyond the classroom and we implement this by nurturing compassionate, responsible and socially conscious young people who are committed to making a positive difference in their communities.

On 25 September 2026, our KIS Interact Club proudly participated in the Sickle Cell Drive, demonstrating the power of youth-led service in raising awareness, showing solidarity and supporting efforts towards a healthier community.

Through initiatives such as these, our learners are reminded that even the smallest acts of kindness can create a lasting impact. Their participation reflects the spirit of Service Above Self and reinforces the importance of empathy, civic responsibility and collective action in addressing community health challenges.

We commend our Interact Club members for their enthusiasm, compassion and commitment to service. Their contribution is a testament to the values we seek to instil in every learner: the courage to care, the willingness to serve and the determination to lead with purpose.

Together, we can build greater awareness, foster understanding and create a more supportive community for individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease.

At KIS, we are growing together and leading with purpose. One act of service at a time.
