KIS Little Scientists & Big Discoveries

Our Year 4 students have been hard at work exploring one of the body's most remarkable systems, the human skeleton. As part of their inquiry into how bones support and shape the human body, students took on a hands on investigation into bone length and its relationship to overall height. 

Working collaboratively in small groups, our young scientists used measuring tapes and rulers to carefully measure key bones including the upper arm, lower arm and lower leg. Recording their findings in data tables and discussing the patterns they observed.

Along the way, they began to draw meaningful connections between bone length and body height, grounding their conclusions in real evidence rather than guesswork.

 Beyond strengthening their measuring and data recording skills, this investigation gave students an authentic introduction to the scientific method of forming hypotheses, conducting experiments and drawing conclusions based on evidence.

 This is a wonderful example of the Cambridge Primary Science curriculum in action at Kabojja International School. By engaging students in varied investigations, research projects and inquiries, we nurture curious, critical thinkers who are confident asking questions, solving problems and exploring the world around them.
