Husnah's Recognition Day at KIS

Today, the Kabojja International School community came together to honour one of our own, Husnah. A Silver Medallist at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games and the first Ugandan ever to win a Commonwealth Games medal in swimming and para-sport.

Husnah, who proudly served as a Captain of Team Uganda, was celebrated during our high school assemblies in front of the very learners she now inspires. It was a moment filled with pride, warmth and reflection. A reminder to our community  that history was made not just for Husnah, but for Uganda's entire sporting community.

Her journey embodies everything we strive to instill in our students: integrity, perseverance, excellence and a deep commitment to making a meaningful impact on the world. She has shown, in the most powerful way, that true champions are defined not by the obstacles they face, but by the strength and passion with which they rise above them.

To our learners watching on: let Husnah's story be a reminder that with dedication, hard work and belief in yourselves, you too can achieve extraordinary things on the world stage.
