Cultural Week at KIS - Learning From Our Community

As our Cultural Week celebrations continue, today was a particularly meaningful day. We were privileged to welcome parents from our Primary School (Cambridge) and Primary Years Programme (PYP) sections, who came to the school to share their cultural heritage, stories and traditions with our learners.

Their contributions reminded us that the most powerful lessons about identity and belonging often come from the people closest to our learners. When parents step into the classroom, culture stops being a topic in a textbook and becomes a lived, personal experience. It strengthens the partnership between home and school, and it shows our learners that their own backgrounds are something to be proud of and curious about.

This year's Cultural Day theme, "Embracing Cultural Diversity as a People," is being brought to life through moments like these. At Kabojja International School, we believe that understanding one another's traditions builds empathy, respect and the global mindset our learners need to thrive in an interconnected world.

To every parent who gave their time and shared a piece of their heritage with us: thank you. Your involvement enriches our school community and inspires our learners.
