KIS Joins the National Cleaning Day

This morning, Kabojja International School proudly participated in the second edition of Uganda's National Cleaning Day, a nationwide community service initiative.

The initiative calls on citizens across the country to clean roads, markets, schools, health facilities and to unclog drainage channels. These efforts are aimed at curbing preventable diseases linked to poor sanitation and preventing flash floods caused by blocked waterways.

At KIS, this exercise held particular significance for our boarding learners, who took an active role alongside their peers and staff. Beyond the immediate impact of a cleaner environment, the initiative served as a meaningful lesson in civic duty. Reinforcing that responsible citizenship extends beyond the classroom and into the everyday spaces we share as a community. Moments like these are an important part of holistic development, instilling values of environmental stewardship, discipline and social responsibility that will serve them well beyond their school years.
