Bringing Science to Life at KIS
Our primary school pupils swapped the classroom for the gym in an engaging, hands-on science lesson exploring the human musculoskeletal system.
Our primary school pupils swapped the classroom for the gym in an engaging, hands-on science lesson exploring the human musculoskeletal system.
Under the guidance of our school coach, students deepened their understanding of how muscles and bones work together to enable movement. Exploring concepts such as muscle contraction, joint function and the vital role the skeleton plays in providing structure, support and protection for the body.
The session was brought to life through a series of targeted, practical demonstrations, with the coach showing pupils exactly how different muscle groups engage during physical activity. This hands-on approach helped bridge the gap between classroom theory and real physical experience. Students were also introduced to a range of gym equipment, learning about its purpose and how each tool supports strength, flexibility, balance and coordination.
Lessons like this reflect our commitment to experiential, holistic learning. Nurturing curious minds and healthy bodies in equal measure.
