After completing their Cambridge Checkpoint Examinations, our Year Six learners embarked on an Academic & Leisure Trip to Nairobi and Mombasa. An opportunity to celebrate their achievements while experiencing learning in authentic, real world settings.
This six-day international experience has been thoughtfully designed to combine education, culture, adventure and recreation, allowing learners to broaden their perspectives, build confidence and create lifelong memories with their peers.
The journey took our learners through some of East Africa's most iconic destinations, including:
Exploring the rich history and vibrant culture of Nairobi, with visits to the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), the National Museum of Kenya, the Kenyatta Independence Monument, and a guided city tour.
Encountering wildlife up close during a memorable visit to Nairobi's renowned attractions, offering an appreciation of conservation and biodiversity.
Travelling aboard the Madaraka Express SGR, providing a unique rail experience from Nairobi to the coastal city of Mombasa while showcasing Kenya's diverse landscapes.
Discovering the rich heritage of Mombasa, including the historic Fort Jesus, the bustling Port of Mombasa, Ivory Towers, the Bombolulu Workshops & Cultural Centre, and Haller Park, where conservation, sustainability and environmental stewardship come to life.
Enjoying exciting recreational activities such as bowling, ice skating, shopping and city experiences, encouraging teamwork, social interaction, and personal growth.
International educational trips are an integral part of our holistic approach to education. They provide learners with opportunities to develop global awareness, cultural appreciation, independence, resilience and interpersonal skills. Qualities that complement academic excellence and prepare them to thrive as responsible global citizens.
At Kabojja International School, we don't just prepare learners for examinations. We prepare them for the world.
