A famous artist once said “Art is not what you see but what you make others see”, and at Kabojja International School the Art Department believes every learner should get the chance to exploit their talent further through field trips. In Term 3 the Year 13 Students visited a number of Art galleries in fulfillment for the requirement to sit for paper 9704/4. The Learners interacted with some contemporary artists in Kampala who explained to them the different concepts and backgrounds of their Art work.

Accompanied by the Head of Art Department Mr. Ssebugya Stephen and Mr. Kambaza Yusuf the learners visited Umoja Gallery in Kamokya and interacted with Mr. Ssendagire Herbert Kalule, then they moved next door to Afri Art Gallery on Kenneth Dale drive to view David Kigozi’s “Voices Heard” Exhibition. The field trip concluded at the National Theatre African Village where the learners interacted with Mr. Nuwa Wamala Nnyanzi.

At the end of the day the learners exchanged views on the different ideas they had picked up from the trip, and their feedback indicated that the trip was an insightful and exciting experience.
