The Cambridge IGCSE curriculum requires that learners visit sites for their study projects. This term the geography class was scheduled to go to Uganda Meteorological Station, Entebbe Uganda at the department of Air Traffic navigation.

Its a requirement for the sitting of 0460/42 to conduct field work as a practical skill in Geography. The choice of area was dependent on the fact that all weather measuring instruments both digital and analogue are vividly at the station. Also for the fulfillment of the candidates who want to pursue aviation as a career. It exposes them to the required subjects and duration of course as well as the necessary skills to posses before choice is made.

Facilitation at the station is excellent because people like professor Mangeni have hands on expertise that relates clearly in the theory in textbooks with what is actually on ground.

The trip was such an exciting learning moment to the students because all questions for example about positing of the Run way were ably answered and some consider Air Traffic control as a career to pursue said Mr. Henry the Geography Teacher.
